I am so blessed. Remember how I mentioned in my previous blog that I met a lady in my church who said she reads my blog? She was really nice and brought me around the countrysides of Holland yesterday, along with her hub and a friend, and we saw the most beautiful flower parade and fields after fields of tulips...

The theme for the flower parade at Sussenheim was 'Europe' and my fave was that of Paris. They had the most varieties of flowers and they were so tastefully decorated...

Scandinavian vikings

Venice :)

Charming little Dutch boy - just had to take a photo of him!
We went for a drive around the countryside after the parade and OH MY GOSH, it was breathtaking! It was surreal seeing the fields of tulips in real-life. I was ooh-ing and aah-ing in the car non-stop; it really looked as if a giant paintbrush swiped through the fields and left strips of pink, purple, white, yellow, red, and orange...
Photos below were barely editted (I only brightened the dark ones!) because I wanted to keep the colours as true as possible!

Field of fragrant hyacinths with Dutch flag in the background...

(outfit: black cardigan from H&M, yellow floral top from H&M but thrifted at Pardaf, jeans from Levi's, waist belt from Cintura but thrifted at Pardaf, shoes from Claudia Ghizzani)
The weather was fairly chilly that morning and rose to a warm 18c, the warmest it's ever been sine I came. It was such a good feeling being able to wear a tank top finally, after all those months of wrapping myself up in layers of clothes! And oh, I got my yellow top at the BEST ever 2nd hand store called Pardaf in Antwerp, Belgium for 2euros/$3.5/RM10! Yes mateys, 2nd hand shopping is the way of the future!
I got these from Antwerp too and they are super comfortable! Some advice for you if you go tulip-visiting though - try to wear sneakers because you don't want to get all that sand and dirt inside your shoes!

What can i say? I just love it. The view, the scene, the deco, the lady in the pic, er, i mean her outfit. hahaha~
